Native
Produce
As odd as it may sound you won't find better quality produce
anywhere. We go to the market every morning and buy only what
meets our high standards. Native asparagus, corn and tomatoes
to name a few. For those of you who have tried it, you know
the quality is superb. For those of you who haven't, please
let this be your invitation to experience the New England Harvest
at its peak!

Joseph
Serio, the founder of Serio's Market on State Street
in Northampton, started trading from a horse drawn wagon. He
later bought this truck for transporting produce around
the city. The photo was taken in the early 1920's.
In case you were wondering ... that's my grandfather pictured
above. A farmer and a fruit peddler, Grandpa understood how
important good produce was to a community.
